UnidosGeneración

Currently accepting scholarship applications for the graduating class of 2021

Applications are due by Friday, April 30th by 11:59 pm.

Primera Generación is proud to offer one Latinx Oregon graduate a 1,000 dollar scholarship in efforts to see them fulfill their college aspirations in becoming the first in their family to obtain a post-secondary education. We are aware of the difficult journey first-gen college-going students take in order to prepare for college and are aware of the financial hardships that force many Latino students to reconsider their post-secondary plans. Our hope is that through the use of scholarship support, recipients will not only choose to continue with their plans but will also be reminded that the path they embark on, though a difficult one, is possible.

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Identify as Latina/o/x
  • Identify as a first-generation college student (if you have siblings in college, you are still considered first-generation)
  • Have completed the FAFSA or ORSSA
  • Have completed an application to at least two collegiate programs (college or trade school)
  • Be committed to attending college or trade school at the start of the 2021-2022 academic year
  • Have financial need.
